Next Meeting

The next regular club meeting will be held on Tuesday Aug. 7th, 6:30PM at the field.  Further meetings will be held in Oct., and Nov. this year.

Minutes from last Meeting

·         Minutes were read and approved.

·        Treasurers’ report was read and approved. Nelson Swords stated that a money market account has been secured with an APR of 5.2%. Everyone agreed this was a good move to secure a higher interest rate.

·        President’s report: The new tent covers are up and secured and have survived some extremely high winds. The field is in good shape and there has been a lot of good flying. We have several volunteers willing to cut the grass and maintain the field. Joe has purchased new blades for the Troy mower. Joe also reported that the club charter has been renewed for 2007.

·         After much discussion on the issue it was agreed that Darrel Long will get pricing on chemicals for doing it ourselves and Tom Van Norstrand will get a quote from a commercial service.

·        May 26 is the date for our annual spring Family fun fly-in. Everyone is invited to come and bring your own picnic.

·        Tom Van Norstrand and Don Allsep agreed to serve as our meal committee to supply meals for our club meetings.

·        Tom supplied KFC for our club meeting. Many thanks, Tom – the chicken was great!

     Safety Tip of the Month

Don’t forget to perform a radio check before flying.  This is especially true if you haven’t flown that airplane in awhile. This safety check found a bad servo last time I flew.
